The Rag Chewers' Club

The Rag Chewers' Club award is now being offered through the Society for the Preservation of Amateur Radio (SPAR) organization.

For those new to amateur radio, this award is a welcome to the world of amateur radio and is very easy to obtain. The rules are simple. All you need to do is to have a conversation (QSO) on the air in any mode (ie SSB, FM, Digital, CW) with another amateur radio operator for thirty (30) minutes or more.

The next step would be to go to the SPAR website and submit your information. On the website you will find a link that will take you to where you will submit the specific information about your conversation.

After submitting your information you will receive, via email, your certificate suitable for printing and framing. This process may take a few days depending on how many people have applied at the time.

That's it! Pretty easy isn't it? The link to the SPAR site can be found at the bottom of this page. Along with a link to the SPAR RCC rules.

Welcome to amateur radio, and I hope to 'chew the rag' with you one day.
